In this painting the artist uses inspiration from the TV show Euphoria to represent the union of the vastness and wonder of the ocean to the representation of femininity. Jules, (played by Hunter Schafer) desires to be and feel as beautiful as the ocean, the ocean being a metaphor for how she feels about her womanhood. Salt water pearls, starfish, and Tahitian pearls are all displayed on the body to show the variety of lively and beautiful things that exist as part of the sea.

This piece is a personal one for the artist as it symbolizes her resilience in the midst of the bleeding of the heart that she was feeling at the time. The green and pink glow show how bright she glows even if the world doesn’t want her to.
